Mac OS X security specialists Intego have released the latest update to their popular VirusBarrier X6 security software, taking the program to version 10.6.6. According to Intego’s Mac Security Blog, the update includes “a number of performance enhancements and bug fixes”… …as well as updated support for iTunes 9.1.1 extending to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch versions of the popular music management app.
The 10.6.5 update for VirusBarrier X6 saw VirusBarrier functionality extended for the first time to the iPad, allowing users who interface their iPad with a Mac OS X-based machine to scan the device for viruses and malware.
The update to VirusBarrier X6 version 10.6.6 is available for free to registered VirusBarrier X6 users through Intego’s NetUpdate service.
